WATCH: TT legend John McGuinness swaps two wheels for four huge ones…

John McGuinness goes larger than ever as he swaps two wheels for four massive ones with a guest British Truck Racing Championship outing

Advice - if you’re going to swap racing two wheels for four wheels, then take a leaf out of John McGuinness book and go big. In fact, don’t go big, go B.I.G…

Indeed, as a 23-time Isle of Man TT race winning legend, you would expect our McPint to be more inclined to go large, rather than go home, but even we’re impressed with its choice of 22.5-inch wheels for the weekend as he made a guest appearance in the British Truck Racing Championship at Donington Park.

For one weekend only, McGuinness lined up on the BTRC grid for the International Truck Prix, leaving his venerable Honda CBR1000RR-R at home in favour of a Team Oliver Racing Scania P1150 to compete in a field of mostly MAN TGXs (this might mean something to some of you…).

Either way, it looks like he had a ball and if you are so inclined you can check out how he did by watching all 9 hours and 22 minutes of the event on this video below…

… but if you only have 8 hours and 22 minutes to spare and you don’t mind the lack of spoilers then we can tell you McGuinness qualified sixth out of 11 entries and scored a 7-5-7-7 from the four races.

Not bad…
