An incident on the opening day of the North West 200 has left two Supersport riders in the hospital.
The first Supersport Qualifying session at the North West 200 has been red-flagged due to a racing incident.
It has been reported that two riders were transported to the hospital after the incident, one was taken by road ambulance the other by air ambulance.
The riders have not yet been named, nor the severity of their injuries detailed.
Originally, BBC NI Presenter, Stephen Watson, provided an update regarding the incident and stated:
"The latest we have is that there was a racing incident during that qualifying and more than one rider were involved in that.
"One has been taken to hospital in an ambulance. The air ambulance has attended the scene and the other rider has just left in the air ambulance.
"That is all the information we have at the moment and we will await official confirmation from the event director and the North West 200 team as to whether this qualifying session can restart."
A further statement from the North West 200 organisers read:
"Two riders were involved in an incident at Mill Road roundabout on the NW200 course six minutes into the Supersport qualifying session at today's Briggs Equipment North West 200.
"Both riders were injured in the incident and the on course medical team attended the scene.
"The riders were subsequently transferred to hospital, one by road ambulance and the other by air ambulance."
Qualifying is due to continue tomorrow at the North West 200, before the first races take place on Thursday evening.
Racing will conclude on Saturday.
