Factory Aprilia World Superbike front-runner Eugene Laverty has identified next year will be an important season to put on a show as he believes the series will become weaker in the future.
The series has just been handed to MotoGP bosses to run and although rules will not be altered for next season other than those stipulated by the FIM two weeks ago, Laverty sees the best riders will be taken up to the blue riband class while the rest will remain behind.
"Looking ahead to next season I think it’s going to be another great year for the championship, however that may not last much further than 2013 following the recent announcement of the running of the championship," said the Irishman.
"Next year is an extremely important one for both WSBK and MotoGP riders as 2014 could see the strongest riders placed in the top class and the rest left behind. Never has there been a more important time to shine."
