Alex Lowes will stay with the Kawasaki Racing Team in WorldSBK for the 2024 season after extending his contract with the team before the start of his home round.
Alex Lowes will go into his fifth year with the Kawsaki Racing Team as he has extended his deal with the Japanese manufacturer for the 2024 WorldSBK season.
Lowes joined Kawasaki for the start of the 2020 season and in this time he has won a race and has stood on the podium a further 13 times in green. This season has not been the easiest year for Kawasaki or Lowes, currently the 32-year-old is eighth in the WorldSBK standings. But clearly the former British Superbike Champion has faith in the future of the KRT WorldSBK project.
“I’m super excited to continue my relationship with Kawasaki into the 2024 WorldSBK season," said Alex Lowes after extending his deal with Kawasaki. "My motivation to achieve the best results possible on the ZX-10RR has never been stronger.
“The number one goal now is to focus on the remainder of the current season, starting with my home race weekend at Donington Park. It is really nice to have confirmation that I will be racing with Kawasaki again agreed in time for my home round. I will enjoy it all the more because of that.
"I want to offer a big thank you to everyone at KMC, KME and all the crew at KRT for their great support in the past and their continuing belief in me. I look forward to working alongside them again next season.”
