Pata Yamaha with Brixx’ Toprak Razgatlioglu is ‘ready to race’ as the 2022 FIM Superbike World Championship finally approaches.
Completing two days of WorldSBK testing at Motorland Aragon second in the combined times, with a fastest lap time of 1’49.068, Razgatlioglu completed 91 laps across six 45-minute free practice sessions as he prepared to defend his World Champion status.
Despite frigid cold temperatures across both days, the Yamaha rider worked on a full programme of set up and new test items in preparation for the first race weekend of the year. Satisfied with the data collected, the Turk is confident he is ready and raring to go, come Friday.
“Today we tried a new set up and we improved my bike a little bit from yesterday,” Razgatlioglu confirmed from Alcañiz. “The weather was cold but I am very happy with these two test days, because we use different set ups to get more data and find the best package.
"Now, the feeling is we are ready to race and I’m very excited for the season start. But we will see Friday! I’m waiting to ride my R1 on Friday – we will see what will happen this weekend!”
