Voltcom Suzuki’s Eugene Laverty is in confident mood ahead of this weekend’s World Superbike clash at Assen and said there have been lessons learned from a tough weekend at Motorland Aragon.
The Irishman struggled at the beginning of both races in Spain as a full fuel tank was making it difficult for him to stop and turn the GSX-R1000 but he fought through to bag useful points.
“I knew that Aragon was going to be a difficult circuit for us but I'm confident that the next three circuits will suit the Voltcom Crescent Suzuki GSX-R better. Assen is a fantastic track and very enjoyable to ride,” said Laverty.
“My aim is to climb back onto that rostrum again as soon as possible and I feel optimistic ahead of Assen. We're working hard to improve our package and we certainly gained more knowledge about the GSX-R at the previous round. If there's one positive to be taken from a difficult weekend then it's the vital lessons learned.”
