Parkalgar Honda's Eugene Laverty has sprung back from his disappointing performance at the last World Supersport round in Spain and is now targeting the top step of the podium once again this weekend at Assen
The Toomebridge youngster, whose tentative start at Valencia cost him a possible podium position, is only 11 points behind championship leaders Cal Crutchlow and Kenan Sofuoglu, reckons that his track knowledge should be a big help.
“I’m really looking forward to this weekend. I’ve raced at Assen in 2007 and 2008 when I competed in the 250 GPs. We learned more about our chassis at Valencia and that will help our development and keep our speed advantage. We never stand still. The track suits me and I’m ready for the challenge, I want to go out there and win," said Laverty.
