Brad Ray expects to be more competitive during Round 2 of the 2024 WorldSBK Championship as he returns to more familiar soil at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
The Briton endured a tough opening round of the season at Phillip Island as the only rider in the field to have never raced at the Australian venue before.
Despite that, the 2022 British Superbike Champion was able to get on the board out of the box and is thus targeting more from the first European round of the year around a venue he knows well from competing on the Motoxracing Yamaha last year and where he has tested extensively.
“I can’t wait to start this second WorldSBK round," Ray said.
"We had a few difficulties during the two-day test at Barcelona and so the team is analysing the data, but I have real confidence in them and their abilities, and we know in which direction we need to work to improve both our flying lap times and race pace.
"I’m training hard to that I’m ready for Barcelona, where we’ll all do our best to be increasingly competitive.”
