Following the announcement this morning that Monza will not be on the World Superbike calendar for 2016, representatives of Motorsport Vision, the company that owns Brands Hatch, have been in talks with WSBK bosses at Motorland Aragon yesterday and today.
Although there was a falling out between WSBK and MSVR boss Jonathan Palmer when the series was owned by the Flammini brothers, it is thought that the previous tumbling block - a sizeable sanctioning fee - has been negotiated down and Brands could return to the schedule this year.
Some minor track modifications to fences may have to be carried out around the back of the circuit at Westfield but other than that, the Kent venue is up to FIM spec.
