WSBK | SYKES MAKES IT INTO SUPERPOLE AT BRANDS

Rizla Suzuki’s Tom Sykes has made it into this afternoon’s World Superbike Superpole at Brands Hatch, finishing the second qualifying session in seventh place, just half a second behind fastest man Troy Bayliss on the Xerox Ducati.
in a rain interrupted session, Bayliss set his 1’25.898 lap right at the top of the hour and only Ten Kate Honda’s Ryuichi Kiyonari and Max Neukirchner on the Alstare Suzuki could get under the 1’25 time. Troy Corser rounds off the top four with a 1’26.030.
Britain’s Chris Walker finished 24th with Tristan Palmer, who is standing in for Simon Andrews on the Lloyds British Jentin Yamaha, in 28th. This is Palmer’s first time out on the R1 and he is only a little over three seconds off the pace.
