Althea Ducati's Davide Guigliano has continued his form from the first session to take World Superbike provisional pole at Brno this afternoon ahead of Marco Melandri and Eugene Laverty.
The Italian reigning European Superstock 1000 Champion went round in 1'59.452 to top the BMW man by less than a tenth of a second while Aprilia-mounted Laverty was a further two tenths back with Kawasaki's Tom Sykes rounding out the front row.
Reigning champion Carlos Checa heads row two but is three-quarters of a second off the pace of his team-mate while Jakub Smrz, second in this morning's free practice session, could only muster sixth place. BMW Italia's Ayrton Badovini and Michel Fabrizio complete the top eight.
Parkingo Aprilia's Chaz Davies is ninth with Leon Haslam, on the second BMW, in tenth place and little under a second in arrears. John Hopkins leads Fixi Suzuki team-mate Leon Camier for 13th while series leader Max Biaggi is stuggling down in 14th. Jonathan Rea, who had a big crash in the opening session, rounds out the top 15.
