Brno WSBK: Guintoli looks to the future after Effenbert split

Sylvain Guintoli had an acrimonious split with his Effenbert Liberty Ducati team when he turned up at Brno on Thursday only to find there was no bike for him to ride.

He immediately cancelled his contract with the Czech-based team and is now looking at where he can finish the 2012 season before thinking about a ride for next year.

"We've had a few problems with the team that have been going on for a while but when I got here on Thursday my bike was not in the pits so we rightly cancelled my contract and have decided not to ride for this team for the rest of the season," said Guintoli, speaking to Jonathan Green at Brno.

"Sometimes you have to make choices and as hard as it was, it was the right thing to do. I don't want to work like that and I can look for new adventures. For sure it is very disappointing. We had a great start to the season and some great results. I got my first pole and first victory but the trouble started a month ago.

"Sometimes we had some bad luck in the races and I got knocked off but it was going well. Hopefully I can find someone who wants to win races with me. For now I am looking and where I can be for the rest of the seaoson as there are a lot of races left. I want to find someone who wants to challenge for wins and podiums with me."
