Brno WSBK: Toseland to try and race this weekend

Crocked BMW Italia World Superbike star James Toseland will attempt to race at this weekend's Brno round but Lorenzo Lanzi will be there to stand in if the two-time champion isn't yet fit enough.

Toseland has missed most of the year due to an injury picked up in testing at Motorland Aragon but is determined to get back on a bike and to be something like competitive.

"James will return in Brno and will try riding in the first practice on Friday to see how his wrist responds. If it goes well on a long run he will race. Otherwise, Lorenzo Lanzi will replace him as early as the second session. We all hope that James is in good condition so that he can resume his season that was interrupted after the first few races," said team boss Serafino Foti.
