BRNO WSS: CRUTCHLOW BLITZES QUALIFYING

Factory Yamaha's Cal Crutchlow has completed his World Supersport practice hat-track at Brno this afternoon, blitzing his way to pole postion by almost a second from Parkalgar Honda's Eugene Laverty.

Crutchlow has been at the top of the timesheets in all three session in the Czech Republic and qualfying was no different as his first flying lap was enoough to knock Joan Lascorz off the top spot and a 2'02.078 five minutes later was enough to keep everyone behind him.

After a crash this morning, Laverty was 0.848s off the Yamaha rider with Lascorz in third an Gianluca Nanelli, on the Triumph Daytona rounding out the front row.

The Ten Kate Hondas of Kenan Sofuoglu and Andrew Pitt 14th and 24th respectively, so could very well put an end to the Turkish former champion title aspirations, leaving the scrap to the Brits.

Laverty's brother Michael, on the CRS Honda, ended the session in 20th with young team-mate Alex Lowes in 27th.
