Airwaves Yamaha pairing Leon Camier and James Ellison have confirmed they will both be entering the Donington Park World Superbike round as wildcards at the end of this month.
The British Superbike Championship leaders will be up against their Sterilgarda Yamaha WSB counterparts on what are near-identical bikes but the team has a good history at the Leicestershire track, taking double wins in the domestic championship last month.
"It is going to be really interesting to see how we perform against the World Superbike teams. We know the competition will be tough, but we'll be working flat out to see a British team on the podium at our home round," said Camier.
"Hopefully the Airwaves Yamaha fans will be there to support us! It'll be a tough few weeks going straight from Snetterton to Donington Park and then to Knockhill, but I can't wait."
"I've always loved racing at Donington Park. Scoring my first ever BSB victory there a couple of weeks ago makes the place even more special. It's a real honour to be competing in the British round of the World Superbike Championship for Airwaves Yamaha. I want to thank them for giving me this incredible opportunity. I know how proud the team is of their winning trophies from 2000, so it would be a dream come true to win a few more," added Ellison.
