Fixi Suzuki's Leon Camier set the pace during day one of World Superbike testing at a cold Motorland Aragon yesterday, going four-tenths faster than championship runner-up Tom Sykes.
The Andorran resident lapped in 1'58.2 which mirrors Marco Melandri's lap record set there earlier in the year, with Sykes on a 1'58.6. The not-retiring-yet Max Biaggi was third with Carlos Checa on the new Ducati Panigale fourth and eight-tenths off the pace.
Michel Fabrizio has turned up with an Aprilia and he has also been joined by team test rider and TV pundit Alex Hofmann, who was a little over two seconds off the pace and proving he can still ride a bit.
