Crocked Fixi Suzuki World Superbike star Leon Camier has been passed fit to race at this weekend's Jerez finale after a medical examination at the track today.
The Kent man has been out of action since a massive crash in Turkey saw multiple breaks in his foot. Intensive physio has got Camier back on an even keel and he can now ride in the last two races of the season.
“As a team, we all have to give Leon huge credit to even be joining us here at Jerez today, let alone passing a fitness test and intending to race. His Istanbul injuries were very complex and nearly every specialist said it would be at least six-weeks before he would be able to put any weight on the foot, but now just four-weeks after leaving hospital in Turkey, Leon is ready to race," said team boss Paul Denning.
"He and his team have made every effort, 24-hours-a-day, to recover this quickly and he’s been through a lot to make it happen. Whatever results we get on track will be a bonus, just to be here is a huge testament to Leon’s commitment.”
