The WorldSBK Championship leading Ducati Panigale V4 R will have its rev limit lowered by 250rpm as a consequence of its superior results relative to rivals so far this season.
Following a routine balance of performance assessment conducted by the FIM and Dorna after the opening three rounds of the season, it was determined that the new Ducati Panigale V4 R - which has won eight of nine races so far this season with Alvaro Bautista - will have its rev limit adjusted down by 250rpm, effective immediately.
Going the other way, Kawasaki has opted to use 5 of its allocated concession points to have the rev limit of its Kawasaki ZX-10R raised by 250rpm as per article 2.4.3.3 of the regulations.
The Ducati Panigale V4 R will now rev to a maximum of 15,850rpm, while the Kawasaki ZX-10RR now spins to 14,850rpm.
The adjustment at this stage in the season mirrors a similar ruling targeted at Ducati during the early stages of the 2019 WorldSBK season following a string of race wins by Bautista.
