Chloe Jones and GR Motosport secured a second WorldWCR podium of the season

Gold & Goose

After standing on a WorldWCR podium for the first time at Donington Park, Chloe Jones was back on the rostrum after Race One at the Balaton Park Circuit.

For the second time in the 2025 FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship (WorldWCR), Chloe Jones and GR Motosport featured on the podium.

The British rider claimed her maiden podium last time out at her home race at Donington Park as she finished in third place in Race One.

This time out, the WorldWCR riders faced a new challenge as they ventured to the Balaton Park Circuit for the Hungarian Round of the season.

Jones had been on the pace all weekend after qualifying on the front row in third place. However, the 21-year-old was given a three-place grid penalty and had to start Race One from sixth on the grid.

But this did not hold her back, as in the first lap she was able to take the lead and get stuck into the podium fight.

Across the entire 11-lap race around the Balaton Park Circuit, Jones found herself fighting for podium positions and looked set to claim another third place.

But on the last lap, Jones was able to get the better of Beatriz Neila and passed the Spaniard for second place, securing her best finish in WorldWCR.

"What a race," Jones said after achieving her second podium finish of the season.

"From P6 to P1 in the first lap, and I felt really good, pretty much all race was P2, but went into P3 on the final lap and eventually finished P2!

"Can’t thank the whole GRMotosport enough for giving me such an amazing bike to ride! All the hard work is finally paying off! One more again tomorrow."

Brent Gladwin said: "I am sorry I don’t have the words right now as I am slightly choked - but in 1987 DK and I were there for the first World Championship race at the Hungaroring and now we are here for the first at Balaton, Chloe and the Team are fantastic"

After seven races in the 2025 FIM Women's Circuit Racing World Championship, Jones finds herself fifth in the Championship standings with two podium finishes to her name.
