Danny Webb announced this evening that he has parted company with his WorldSSP Championship WRP Wepol Yamaha team by mutual agreement.
Webb’s second season with the Czech-based outfit has failed to get off the ground with three retirements and a 20th place from the opening four races despite being a regular top-10 finisher in 2020.
Announcing the split on Twitter, Webb explained:
“It’s been a really tough start to my 2nd WorldSSP season and after a mutual agreement between myself and my WRP team I have decided it’s in the best interest for the team and myself to take a step back and let them continue their WorldSSP challenge.
“I want to thank the team for their upmost support this year through a difficult time and all the hard work they’ve put in and I wish them the best of luck for the remainder of the season.
“I’m very grateful to still be a part of the WRP Wepol Racing family & I myself look forward to being back on a bike as soon as possible BIG thanks to my loyal sponsors as always.”
