Red Bull Honda's Leon Camier is praying for wet race tomorrow at Donington despite finishing tenth in the first race as he needs to give his battered body a rest.
Camier is still in serious pain from his crash at Motorland Aragon and was barely able to hold on to the throttle for the final three laps of today's encounter where he battled with BSB young gun Bradley Rea before finishing just behind Leon Haslam.
"Today's plan was not to battle too much but I made some passes back and forward with Brad Ray at the beginning. He was a lot stronger than me on the brakes into the chicane and got me back but I was able to pass him later on," said Camier, speaking at the track.
"I managed to get into my rhythm and have an OK pace but I didn't have any more. I'm storng enough in the last sector but in the other two sectors I felt pretty good. Changing direction was bad, I struggled to breathe and got arm pump but it was good just to finish.
"It was debatable whether I could race. We made a plan at the beginning that if I started to get out of control or was out of the points, then to stop. I had to play it how I was feeling, relax and manage it. The last three laps I was in a bad way.
"I'm hoping it rains tomorrow, that what I want. It's easier on the body and our bike has been good in the wet."
