MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews has unveiled a special retro Shoei he will wear for his World Superbike debut this weekend at the Donington Park round.
Andrews, who has been kept off the British Superbike podium this season by cruel luck including a total loss of fork rebound damping during the second Snetterton race, wanted to commemorate his debut and got Rage Designs to create this one-off.
"I am so looking forward to this weekend and showing what MSS Colchester Kawasaki to do as a team. On a personal level, it's incredibly exciting to be in with the world guys," said Andrews this morning, talking to bikesportnews.com while wearing yellow shorts and knee socks.
"I asked Shoei and Rage if we could do a one-off lid for the event and they came up with this. It's pretty retro and eighties, but all that is coming back in now. There are a lot of cues from street stuff and Ed Hardy clothing, so I reckon it will stand out."
