What with the rain and wind, you'd think the rumour mill would have ground to a halt at Donington wouldn't you... Oh no

Yamaha's World Supersport team vehemently denied a rumour that Cal Crutchlow had signed for them. The team said it has two riders on its list but wouldn't say who. Ah yeah, to be sure...

Leon Haslam's girlfriend Oli vehemently denied that Haslam had signed for the Yamaha Motor Italia. And she makes a very good glamorous assistant.
With the departure of Haga to Xerox Ducati, Yamaha can now probably afford to keep Troy Corser, so long as he hasn't ordered his company M3. MotoGP's Sylvain Guintoli has epxressed a preference and says he would like to join the Yamaha Motor Italia squad.
Alex Polita has signed for Sterilgarda. They should sign Alessia too.

Randy Mamola was around all weekend with American riders Jason DiSalvo and Josh Hayes. Now that Randy doesn't have a day job next year, will he be running the new Ducati team headed for WSB from the USA?

Chaz Davies was also around. Even though Kawasaki look set to remain in what might be an AMA series next year, he should be on the world stage.

Bradley Smith popped up. His Aprilia team, sponsored by Polaris World, could be in dire straits as the property market, in which it is a big European player, is in a world of poo. Bradley could be handy on a Supersport bike but probably needs to be a bit bigger.

The Hannspree Stiggy Honda team is allegedly going up a class into Superbikes for 2009 and hope to keep Josh Brookes. And Johan Stigefelt's wife Carolina is lovely. Really lovely...

HM Plant Honda's Neil Tuxworth and Havier Beltran were seen in the depths of discussion more than once on Sunday...

Former GP rider Jeremy McWilliams was helping the CCTV Direct Racedays team with their new riders Lee Johnston and Joshua Day.

The ever-cool Leon Camier must be the only top-level BSB rider who isn't concerned about a ride next season. He wasn't spotted anywhere near any teams, so he is either sorted for next year, or he is sorted for next year.
Rizla Suzuki's Tom Sykes was spotted deep in conversation in the Alstare Suzuki hostlity tent on Sunday night...
Regis Laconi has said he doesn't think he will be at PSG-1 Kawasaki next season as it isn't going the way he wants it to. Well, he has won a GP and several WSB races and it's taken him three years to realise the Kawasaki isn't, erm, very good?
