DONINGTON WSB: HOST OF CHANGES TAKE ANDREWS TO TENTH

MSS Colchester Kawasaki's Simon Andrews managed a remarkable tenth place in the second World Superbike race at Donington Park after making a raft of small changes to his bike in the interval.

The Evesham man had been having a disastrous weekend as a wildcard, having to bolt in a completely new set of forks on Saturday night to try and do something about the bike's setup. His steam also made a string of small changes to the shock which came good in the second leg.

"It's shame we didn't have Sunday's race two setup on Friday morning but is was a great result all things considered. We finished top Kawasaki in the seocnd race and I am happy with that," said Andrews, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

"We altered the sag in the shock, used a different tyre and tweaked some other components for race two and finally got it going in the right direction. The team worked incredibly hard, so to get in the top ten after all that was a great result."
