DONINGTON WSB: I HAVE TO SORT OUT MY STARTS - CAMIER

Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier reckons that is good start is key to getting podiums at this weekend's Donington Park World Superbike round and hopes not to replicate his two average starts at Snetterton BSB last weekend.

Even though the Kent youngster was able to win both legs, he didn't get away from the line particularly well and had to fight his way through the pack twice to stand on top of the podium.

"There are a load of fast guys all able to lap within hundredths of each other so I will have to get away with them and hope I don't get one of my rubbish starts. I've got to do something with that," said Camier, talking to bikesportnews.com this afternoon.

"It's the first time I will have used the qualifying tyres and we don't get to practice on them and you only get two for the three session. I have an idea as to what I am going to do and how to ride them, but we will have to wait and see.

"We haven't changed the bikes at all from Snetterton because we're going good at the moment and re-inventing the wheel before Donington isn't a very good idea.

"I'm treating it like a normal weekend but it's a chance to ride on the world stage and that's where I would like to be next season so we need to do a good job over the weekend. It will be nice to go out and have a spin round with them.

"We did well at the BSB round earlier in the year and the bikes are totally different now to the way they were then, so we should be in with a shout but I have no idea what to expect, so I am expecting nothing."
