Airwaves Yamaha's Leon Camier says he is looking for more consistency in his laptimes during today's World Superbike practice and qualifying sessions despite finishing on the provisional second row yesterday.
The Kent youngster was second fastest in the dry morning session and sixth quickest in the first qualifying outing on a drying track but he says he is pleased with the stablity of the WSB-spec Pirelli front tyres.
"The pace is fast out there! That was my first reaction when we got on track. There's also a big difference with the tyres. Particularly on the front, they feel a lot more stable," said Camier.
"I was happy with our pace in practice, but I wanted to be more consistent. We got a lot of positives out of first qualifying. There should be more to come out of the Airwaves Yamaha tomorrow. As expected, the weekend is going to be tough, but we're working really well so I'm still excited."
