Linxcel-Seton Tuning’s Hudson Kennaugh scored two points in his wildcard ride at Donington Park for the eighth round of the World Supersport Championship in his first season with the British team.
The team were put to the test after rapidly needing to prepare the bike for the weekend and to World standards after only learning their entry into championship had been accepted, but it all came together with Kennaugh qualifying a positive 16th for Sunday’s 22 lap race, in which he finished 14th.
Kennaugh said: “The team really stepped up this weekend and gave me a great bike to compete in the World series. I felt comfortable during the race and although it was a real challenge to get used to the tyres, the professionalism of the Linxcel-Seton Tuning team shone through and we were quickly on top of things.”
Phil Seton, team owner said: “This weekend demonstrated that a small, privately owned team on a limited budget can still mix it with world-class factory teams. And when you consider that our bike lacks parts that the factory teams have, like traction control, I am over-the-moon with today’s result.”
Both rider and the team return to the British Championship next weekend at the Scottish circuit of Knockhill to build on his current eighth position in the overall championship standings of the British Supersport championship.
Kennaugh and the Linxcel-Seton Tuning team would like to thank the following for all of their support this year:
