Rivamoto Honda's Jack Kennedy was left disappointed after dropping out of a front row spot in the closing moments of this afternoon's World Supersport qualifying session. The Dubliner is suffering with arm pump, which could be critical over the 22-lap race tomorrow.
"In the end it was a tad disappointing. I was in the top three nearly all session long, posting consistent lap times and in honesty, I didn't expect to drop back like I did. The arm pump cost me throughout the session, as I was making mistakes more often than usual," said Kennedy, speaking to bikesportnews.com this evening.
"It was strange. I'll just have to try my old leathers tomorrow but with or with out the arm pump, I'm going to have to dig in as it's a long race.
"There's still a few tweaks to be made in warm-up and some sectors I still need to work on. There are places on the circuit I need to go quicker if I want to contend tomorrow. I've still got to be happy though. We were 17th at Monza so in a much better position now. I'll go through the data tonight with Jeremy [McWilliams] and try some stuff in warm-up but we're still hoping to be contending tomorrow."
