Double WorldSSP Champions Evan Bros Racing have announced podium winner Valentin Debise will head up its challenge for the 2024 WorldSSP Championship season.
The Frenchman joins the decorated Yamaha customer team following his breakout season in the intermediate class aboard the GMT94 Yamaha R6.
Having dabbled in both WorldSBK and WorldSSP in recent years, a full-time return to the latter in 2023 would see Debise enjoy his strongest campaign as he piqued with a pair of podiums on home soil at Magny-Cours en route to fifth overall.
For Evan Bros Racing - title-winners in 2019 and 2020 with Randy Krummenacher and Andrea Locatelli respectively - the signing of Debise comes as it bids to get back at the sharp end of the field after a chastening 2023 campaign that began with Andrea Mantovani but ended with Lorenzo Dalla Porta on the R6.
“It's a dream for me to be part of the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team. I have been watching them since their beginning in WorldSSP, and I have been impressed from the results they achieved.
"So I’ll give my really maximum to fight for podiums and victories. I want to thank the team them for the warm welcoming, and I can’t’ wait to start the season!”.
