Four-time World Superbike Champion Carl Fogarty has apparently flown into Brisbane in the last few hours to star alongside Ant and Dec in the new series of ITV reality show I’m A Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here which is also set to house former BTSport MotoGP presenter Melanie Sykes.
The forthright Blackburn rider arrived a day after rapper Tinchy Stryder who is also set to appear - as is ‘Allo ‘Allo strumpet Vicky Michelle - in the gameshow which has a main theme of eating all sorts of revolting Australian wildlife.
The 49-year-old has probably been cast by producers to be the villian of the piece as his brusque manner is bound to rub up usually-pampered Z-list stars. Sykes’ appearance could cause friction with Foggy, who is never stuck for an opinion, so at least there may be some entertainment value in an otherwise worn-out format. The series begins next Sunday night.
Other people rumoured to be appearing are someone called Gemma Collins from the abysmal, for-ameoba-only series The Only Way Is Essex, footballist Roy Keane, TV news legend Michael Buerk, The Wanted's Max George and Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna.
