Marcos Ramirez has reportedly been offered a contract to ride with QJMotor in the 2026 World Supersport Championship.
The factory QJMotor World Supersport squad have not confirmed their 2026 rider line-up. However, it now appears they will pick up a Grand Prix castaway for next season.
QJMotor entered the World Supersport Championship in 2024 with two experienced riders, Niki Tuuli and Raffaele de Rosa. The Chinese manufacturer continued with the veteran riders into 2025 and introduced the new, redesigned SRK 800 RR midway through the season.
Finnish rider Tuuli announced his retirement from racing at the end of the 2025 season, and left QJMotor looking for a rider for the 2026 campaign.
However, they appear to have been able to acquire the services of former Grand Prix winner, Marcos Ramirez, for the 2026 World Supersport season.
The Spaniard had originally signed a deal to remain in Moto2 next season with the American Racing Team. However, before the Portuguese Grand Prix, it became clear that his deal was not going to be honoured and he was not going to be able to remain in the Grand Prix paddock.
The two-time Grand Prix winner has now reportedly been offered a ride with QJMotor in the World Supersport Championship, according to Speedweek.com.
Ramirez is currently taking part in his final Grand Prix as an American Racing Team rider and has qualified for the Valencia Grand Prix in 18th place.
There is also a World Superbike Test at Jerez on the 26th and 27th of November. If a deal is sorted between Ramirez and QJMotor, Ramirez could find himself on track in the new series in just over a week.
