Gearlink Kawasaki are delighted to have been awarded a wild card entry into the World Supersport race at Brands Hatch on August 3 where Chris Martin will step into the limelight on the world stage to showcase the capabilities of the Gearlink Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R.
Chris will be up against some tough world-class opposition, competing against the likes of series regulars Jonathan Rea, Andrew Pitt and Josh Brooks as well as the other British wild cards plus British Superbike star Karl Harris who has been brought into the Yamaha World Supersport Championship team as a substitute rider to replace the injured Fabien Foret.
The whole Gearlink Kawasaki team relishes the prospect of Chris and the Ninja ZX-6R racing against the world’s best and to see how the Kawasaki shapes up against the speed of the regular competitors. Chris will have the advantage of racing on a familiar track on home territory and will be going for glory on Sunday.
Chris Martin: "I am so glad we got the wild card ride for next week. I am excited and can’t wait to get out there and see how we go against the series regulars. My aim is naturally to finish the race but I don’t think it is too presumptuous to hope for a top 10 finish at least.
"Due to the hefty entry fee I am looking for some additional sponsorship for this wild card race. If anyone is interested in sponsorship for this round there is space on my crash helmet and also prime position space on the bike for stickers!"
