Superpole three
Max Biaggi 1'53.855
Tom Sykes
Marco Melandri
Former World Superbike Champion Max Biaggi has taken his first pole position of the year this afternoon at the Nurburgring despite a spirited late charge from Tom Sykes who wasn't quite able to depose the Aprilia man with his final lap - losing a couple of tenths in the final sector on a race tyre.
Series leader Marco Melandri was third while Eugene Laverty, on the second works RSV4, completes the front row. Jonathan Rea is at the head of row two and he has reigning champion Carlos Checa next to him.
Leon Camier and Loris Baz round out row two and they have Davide Guigliano, Chaz Davies, Lorenzo Zanetti and Leon Haslam for company.
Superpole two
Tom Sykes 1'53.927
Marco Melandri 1'54.056
Eugene Laverty 1'54.323
An early crash for Leon Haslam saw him have to sit out most of the second session and he didn't set a laptime so was relegated on to the fourth row of the grid while Parkingo Aprilia's Chaz Davies, fastest in the first session, was also dumped out of contention.
Laverty rescued himself with his last lap of the session, jumping from just outside the relegation zone into third while Camier also had to put in a blistering lap to get into the final eight and he went through at the expense of Davide Guigliano on the Althea Ducati.

Marco Melandri 1'54.711
Davies put in a storming lap in the re-started first session to go fastest, just ahead of Baz who got a great tow from Biaggi to take top spot before he was deposed by the Welshman.
Haslam and Melandri didn't return to the track after David Salom's crash brought out the red flags due to the amount of gravel on the track, preferring to stick with their opening times. The Italian's time was easily quick enough but Haslam edged nearer and nearer the drop zone as the pace increased but he managed to make it through in tenth.
