European Superstock race winner Gino Rea has signed to run in Ten Kate Honda colours for the 2009 season, which starts in Valencia next weekend.
The former Stonebaker Yamaha man has been in protracted negotiations with the squad but has finally put pen to paper and will start his year in Spain on April 5.
“Ten Kate is the team that I and many other racers look up to and want to be part of. After my win in Portimao we reached an agreement and I was thrilled to sign with such a high profile team," said the Londoner.
"I'm in the best shape I've ever been in, I've put a lot of effort into my fitness training and dieting over the winter so I'm feeling good. I have the experience of running at the front of races now so I want to give Ten Kate, Honda and myself a STK600 title this year! I'm looking forward to working with the team and I can't wait to ride the bike at the season opener at Valencia!"
