Pata Yamaha’s Sylvain Guintoli ruled himself out of this weekend’s Misano World Superbike round but his team have yet to announce who will replace him.

Guintoli badly broke his leg at the Imola round six weeks ago, and was still in a cast and on crutches at Donington last time out. For the British round, Cameron Beaubier stood in for him and could do so again in Italy but the team’s Superstock star Nico Canepa tested at Misano alongside Alex Lowes.

“I will be in Misano to support my Team but still too early to ride,” Guintoli Tweeted.
