Yamaha’s Noriyuki Haga has flown to California to receive treatment on the collarbone he broke at Miller Motorsport Park over the weekend. It’s the first bone The Samurai of Slide has snapped in a racing crash.
It’s thought he is having the offending article pinned and plated by Dr Art Ting (no, really) at his Fremont clinic. Haga rode through the pain barrier to take an amazing sixth place in race two.
Yamaha Motor Italia boss Massimo Meregalli said: "What Noriyuki did was like a miracle; I don’t remember anything like it.”
