Xerox Ducati's Noriyuki Haga is hoping his debut aboard the factory 1198 at Phillip Island this weekend will change his luck at the track as he hasn't won a World Superbike race there for 11 years.
The Samurai of Slide's best result in recent times was a third in 2007 and haga is hoping that recent testing will alter his run of fortune at a track that he likes.
“I have to say it’s a track that I like but I have had very mixed results here over the years. In the last few years my best result was a third in 2007 but in 1998 I won race two.
"Since then I haven’t had so much luck but I am hoping that I can change this this year! The tests last weekend went well and we’ll continue to test various things on Friday in preparation for Sunday’s races.”
