Noriyuki Haga has undergone successful surgery on his broken collarbone in California and is now on his way back to Italy.
The Samurai of Slide crashed heavily in race one at Miller Motorsport Park last weekend but rode through the pain to take sixth in race two.
A Yamaha Motor Italia spokesman said: "The operation was successful, Doctor Ting used a plate and eight screws to secure the break, ensuring that with a week of rest Nori will be a little sore but fighting fit to take on the WSB pack in round seven at the Nurburgring in Germany."
