Ducati's departing MotoGP star Nicky Hayden is today testing a World Superbike-spec Panigale at Mugello, further fuelling rumours he may switch to the production-based championship in 2014.

Hayden has a raft of offers on the table in WSBK including Honda,Kawasaki, Aprilia and Ducati itself. He is also in talks with LCR Honda for a production racer and the NGM Forward team to ride one of their leased Yamaha M1 packages.

Ducati's PR man Julian Thomas confirmed the test to bikesportnews.com this morning.
