Althea Honda's Tommy Hill reckons he is at the top of his game and is fully up for a scrap at this weekend's opening World Superbike round at Phillip Island.
The former British Superbike star has been training hard while he has been in Australia and is looking to be in the top ten when the lights go out on Sunday morning.
Speaking with bikesportnews.com just now, Hill said: "We've been working hard. The tests showed that we are there or thereabouts in terms of laptimes and I don't see why we won't be top ten before we start.
"I don't know this track too well but I know quite a lot of the rest of them so we are going to get our heads down and make it happen. There's no reason come Europe that we can't be challenging for podiums.
"I am fit, my leg isn't causing me problems and I just want to crack on and get the job done."
