After a difficult start to the 2024 World Superbike season Michael Ruben Rinaldi has spoke on his potential plans for 2025.
In between the Czech and Portuguese World Superbike rounds the struggling Michael Ruben Rinaldi spoke about how he is chasing a ride for next season.
After racing for the Factory Ducati team in 2023 and then Motocorsa Ducati in 2024 it appears that Rinaldi may be without a ride for the 2025 WorldSBK season. The Italian rider made his plans and thoughts on his situation clear to all:
“I want to continue in WorldSBK; this year, I understand, more than anything, that I want to fight for positions at the top of the standings,” began Rinaldi.
“When you fight for just entering the top ten, it’s difficult to stay there and keep fighting. I need to find solutions for this year by working with the team and to be the best version of myself. After this, I start working for the future but for me, I want to find the best solution on the technical side to be on the top next year."
With a lot of the 2025 WorldSBK grid already filled Rinaldi knows there are more riders than seats available for next season. There have been rumours surrounding Rinadi, but it seems he does not believe his future is with Ducati.
“There are many rumours, my manager speaks with many people and one of them has been Manuel Puccetti. However, it depends on many things because next year, there are only two or three teams left and many riders looking for a ride. Sometimes, there’s more to getting a ride than just getting results. We will see what happens; we are talking at the moment with some people.”
