Superpole three
Michel Fabrizio 1'47.735
Ben Spies 1'47.778
Jonathan Rea 1'47.834
Xerox Ducati's Michel Fabrizio swiped his debut pole position from under the nose of Sterilgarda Yamaha's Ben Spies with his final lap of the last session, beating the American's time by four one-hundredths of a second.
Ten Kate Honda's Jonathan Rea pulled himself onto the front row with his final lap, deposing Fabrizio's team-mate Noriyuki Haga to the outside of the front row.
Guandalini Ducati's Jakub Smrz had been lying in second but slipped to fifth before crashing out with a handful of minutes to go. Aprilia's ~Max Biaggi is sixth with Shane Byrne seventh and Aprilia stand-in rider Marco Simoncelli eighth.
Superpole two
Jonathan Rea 1'48.079
Ben Spies 1'48.231
Jakub Smrz 1'48.323
A last lap dash from Biaggi saw the Aprilia man push temporary team-mate Marco Simoncelli in the drop zone a lap after the big-haired 250GP had himself replaced Stiggy Honda's Leon Haslam for eighth place. But Simoncelli's final lap pushed him back into the final eight
It also pushed out BMW's remaining rider Troy Corser while Byrne hung on by the skin of his teeth. It left just Rea and Shane Byrne as the two British in the final qualifying session.
Sterilgarda Yamaha's Tom Sykes finished last in the second session, no doubt still suffering from his crash yesterday and two of the three Ten Kate Hondas went out, with Ryuichi Kiyonari and Carlos Checa not making the grade.
