Factory BMW rider Troy Corser has said that riding for a lap of the first free World Superbike practice session this morning felt like he had two flat tyres on his S1000RR.
The veteran Aussie, who eventually set the tenth quickest time when the session finally got under way at 4.45pm, was surprised by the slipperiness of the circuit, adding it also felt wet.
"I don’t think I’ve ever ridden on a track that felt like that. The track wasn’t wet, but it felt like it was, or it felt like we all had flat tyres," said Corser.
"It was very strange, but the decision to abandon the first free practice session was the right one. I had many, many slides in just the two laps I did and that is not right. It’s also what the other riders all felt, so we all knew that there was a serious problem."
