Ducati’s Chaz Davies will take new suspension and electronic settings tested today at Imola to the next round at Donington Park after they helped to remove the rear vibration problems he has been suffering.
The Welshman, who took two podiums here on Sunday, has pointed out the vibration is not chatter but it has been enough that the team spent the morning trying to get rid of the problem while the afternoon was spent testing new components.
“We’ve mainly concentrated on the clutch setting and engine brake management, to figure out some of the rear vibration issues I’ve been having. We’ve also tested a couple of new electronic strategies and new front and rear settings,” said Davies.
“I’m pleased with the day’s work and the feeling I had with the bike by the end of the day. Hopefully the data I’m providing to the team is useful and can help us improve the bike further for the next races.”
