World Superbike bosses have this morning announced the final round of this year's championship due to be held in India has been cancelled on safety grounds.
The race was meant to run at Buddh International Circuit on 17 November but a lack of properly trained marshals has forced its cancellation. It may re-appear on next year's schedule.
“JPSI confirms its interest in going ahead with the race in the future. We look forward to them concluding an arrangement with DWO in order to arrive at a mutually convenient date and to ensure that India has the privilege of hosting a round in the near future," said circuit spokesman Vicky Chandhok.
The decision means that Jerez will hold the final round on October 20.
