Former MCE British Superbike star PJ Jacobsen has left the Intermoto Pony Expres Kawasaki World Supersport team to replace Rattapark Wilairot at Core Honda.
Although there haven’t been any statements from either side, Jacobsen is believed to have signed a deal with the team yesterday and will race at Portimao next weekend.
The switch currently leaves the Kawasaki squad as a two-man team but it is believes they are looking to replace Jacobsen with a team-mate for Lucas Mahias and Aiden Wagner.
Given Andrew Pitt’s close ties with the team and with British youngster Mason Law, who rode for them last year, the Superstock 600 leader could make a step up but schedule clashes would mean he couldn’t do both.
