Reports suggest that Jake Dixon has the potential to move to the World Superbike Championship for the 2026 season.
In recent years, it has been common to see Moto2 riders make the move across to the World Superbike paddock, with the likes of Nicolo Bulega, Stefano Manzi and Andrea Locatelli all making the move.
However, Jake Dixon's name could be added to that list at the end of the 2025 season, as Honda is reportedly in the early stages of negotiating with the British rider.
The Japanese manufacturer is set to overhaul its World Superbike rider lineup for the 2026 season, and now has Dixon in its sights to pilot a CBR1000RR-R next year.
According to reports from GPOne, HRC has already approached Dixon's manager, Bob Moore, and has expressed an interest in bringing Dixon across to Superbikes in 2026. No agreement has been reached between the two parties, but contact has been made.
However, on the other hand, the ELF Marc VDS Racing Team is reportedly keen to retain the British rider's services for next season.
Dixon joined the Belgian team in the Moto2 World Championship at the start of the 2025 season, and finds himself in fourth in the standings with two race wins and a further podium to his name.
It has also been stated that an offer to remain in the Grand Prix paddock with Marc VDS will be offered to Dixon in the near future.
