Injured World Superbike star Joan Lacorz has regain feeling and sensation in his arms and hands, and has remembered how the terrible accident at Imola occurred, according to his team.
The Spaniard is now able to breathe for himself without the aid of a respirator but hasn't yet made any progress with his abdomen or legs. He is due to be moved to the Barcelona Guttmann Institute to continue his progress on Monday.
"At this time Joan was conscious, talking, and remembers all of the accident at Imola, which in due time will be analyzed and explained publicly. Joan has feeling in his arms and hands, but not the legs and abdominal area. Once transferred to the Institute Guttmann, it will be possible for physicians to program the recovery plan and to fully evaluate the spinal cord," said a team spokesman.
