Milwaukee Aprilia's Eugene Laverty is planning to race at next weekend's Imola WorldSBK round after being given the all-clear by his doctors today.
Laverty suffered a fractured pelvis and temporarily lost feeling in his legs following a crash at the Buriram round and had initially targeted a Donington return but he will fly to the Italian circuit.
"Eugene met with the orthapedic doctor today and the pelvic fractures are healing well," said wife Pippa.
"Obviously, he will have to pass a medical at Imola on Thursday but the plan is to race. With another week, he is confident that he will be fit."
