Former British Superbike Champion Gregorio Lavilla could be without a ride in this year's World Superbike Championship as it is being reported his Pro-Ride team is in financial difficulty.
The rumour has become ever-stronger since the Portimao tests a couple of weeks ago and it now looks like the team, which was borne from the AltoEvolution squad, cannot secure a title sponsor.
The Spaniard's career has nosedived since he won the BSB title in 2006. After he left the Airwaves Ducati team at the end of 2007, Lavilla had a poor season with the Paul Bird Honda team in World Superbikes last year.
